"I established the John Phillips Golf Academy five years ago, and now have two venues for my golf schools. In the summer I run schools to Bowood Golf Club in Cornwall, UK and in the winter I run schools to Vilamoura in Portugal.

These schools specialise in week or weekend tuition golf breaks and have proved to be extremely popular attracting students from all over the UK as well as from the further reaches of the European Community.

I have been a qualified member of The Professional Golfers Association for the past 21 years where my teaching responsibilities have been extensive including European Tour player Paul Curry (winner of the 1994 Jersey Open) along with Wendy Dicks and Sarah Bennett both of the Ladies European Tour. I have also written instructional articles for the UK magazine, Golf Monthly.
