Speed Stick

Get to grips with the Speed Stick for more clubhead speed...and more distance.

This is a relatively new product and one that has already caught the eye of Vijay Singh and Masters champion, Mike Weir, both of whom I have seen using it.

The idea of the Speed Stick, which is designed as a warm-up trainer, is to increase the strength of your golfing muscles and thus enhance the speed and efficiency of your swing.

At 48 inches in length, there are three different weights to choose from (each one colour-coded) and they all have a swing speed gauge located in the tip.

Players who have used it say that best results are achieved when you swing the Speed Stick on a fairly flat plane around your body (a bit like a baseball swing) and it’s also recommended that you swing both right- and left-handed (for balanced muscle development). A few minutes warming up with this every day will definitely make for some real improvement in your clubhead speed.
