DEVIL'S CLAW - A NATURAL HELP
TO GET BACK TO WORK
 |
Newly launched – Devil's claw herbal remedy backs to thousands of sufferers:30 million people suffer from back problems and the figures are increasing, particularly amongst younger adults in the 16-24 age group. Causing 120 million lost working days every year, it is not surprising that back pain is also the single biggest health cost to the UK economy. Newly launched |
| (14.3.00), Lichtwer Pharma Herbal's descriptively-named Devil's Claw supplement will bring new hope to the UK's ‘bad back' sufferers. |
Also known as Harpagophytum procumbens, Devil's claw has been an essential element in the back care of the people of Namibia, where the herb is grown in properly managed estates to support the local economy. Lichtwer Pharma (the makers of Kwai garlic and Ginkyo Concentrated) has now developed a standardised extract (LI-174) of the Devil's Claw root that is scientifically proven to help maintain healthy and supple joints, ligaments and tendons, especially in the back through it's action as a mild anti-inflammatory and muscle relaxant.
One recent double-blind, placebo-controlled trial using Lichtwer Pharma's 480mg Devil's Claw tablets twice daily, demonstrated the herb's joint care benefits. Otherwise healthy people in the active group, who have suffered from shoulder, neck and back pain for the at least two weeks, were found to have significantly reduced muscle pain, pain sensitivity and muscle tension after taking Devil's Claw special extract LI-174 for a month. No significant side effects were reported, and benefits were recorded from as early as two weeks into the study.
New standardised Devil's Claw tablets from Lichtwer Pharma Herbal are available from Boots, Superdrug, Tesco, Lloyds Chemists, Moss Chemists, independent pharmacies and health food stores, priced £9.99 for a three week course of 40 tablets.
