Biobas Active and Golf
01 WARM:UP

Pre-sport muscle balm to be applied prior to physical exercise. It acts to help minimise the risk of injury to muscles exposed to stress in order to maximise energy and enhance performance.

There is no doubt that warming up muscles prior to exertion is an essential part of any exercise programme or sporting activity. We are all aware that without a warm up, we will not only suffer sore, stiff muscles tomorrow, but that we also increase the risk of more serious damage through injury.

Fitness professionals are now emphasizing the importance of warm up rather than stretching before exercise. Like elastic bands, muscles stretch easily and safely when thoroughly warm, not when cold.  Preparation for exercise involves increasing circulation to all the muscle groups by starting with gentle movement and gradually increasing it's intensity. The action of 01 Warm:up contributes to the process by stimulating circulation to the muscles to be worked.

The balm is not intended as a replacement for a full physical warm-up but to enhance its effect in preparing the muscles for exercise.

active ingredients

Oils of Black Pepper, Thyme and Rosemary.

Rubefacient essential oils, such as Black Pepper and Rosemary, stimulate circulation locally in the area to which they are applied. They cause the capillaries to widen, so a greater volume of blood can flow through them. With the action of Thyme Oil, oxygen supply to these areas is increased. Oil of Black Pepper has stimulant and tonic properties that help prevent fatigue and damage and improve performance of the muscle tissue.

application

The balm is intended for use prior to physical exercise. Squeeze balm directly onto the skin areas or hands.  Rub gently into skin and let absorb.

Acting to prevent harm to muscles before exertion, the balm has a multitude of uses.

Its most noticeable application to Golf is to get the large muscles groups in the back and legs ready and warm for the stretching that should precede any round of golf.
