NEW
TRIFORCE PUTTER SCORES LPGA VICTORY
Rachel
Hetherington used her new Odyssey TriForce 2 Putter to win the Chick-Fil-A
Charity Championship. Hetherington birdied two of the last three
holes of regulation play, then sank yet another birdie putt on the
first playoff hole to record her second career LPGA Tour victory.
Odyssey Golf, a division of Callaway Golf Company, scored a sweep
of the three spots atop the Chick-Fil-A leaderboard - the runner
up used an Odyssey Dual Force Rossie 2, while Annika Sorenstam finished
third with her Odyssey TriForce 2 Putter.
Hetherington's
victory comes one week after Odyssey began shipping the new TriForce
1 and 2 models to the market. The TriForce design incorporates Odyssey's
patented Stronomic insert as well as a tungsten weight flange, a
new technology that allows Odyssey to dramatically reposition the
centre of gravity lower and farther back in the putter head. The
result is the best rolling, best feeling putter that Odyssey has
ever produced.
In
the past three months, the Odyssey TriForce 1 and 2 putters have
already been put in play by 52 players across the PGA, Senior PGA,
LPGA, NIKE and PGA European tours. Players who have used Odyssey
TriForce putters in 199 have made the cut 67.3 percent of the time.
Those same player made the cut only 58.4 percent of the time with
their previous putters prior to switching to the TriForce. Those
players have averaged 97 percent more money made per event since
switching to TriForce putters.
