Titleist launch new DCI 990s

Titleist have launched their next generation of DCI 990 irons in America.

"The new DCI 990s are the ultimate high performance iron design and pushes the envelope in the premium iron category," said Chris McGinley, director of marketing at Titleist Golf Clubs. "In the creation of the new DCI 990s, we improved upon the best features of the DCI 962 and 962B models in terms of looks, feel and ball flight. We have been listening to tour players and better golfers' ideas on iron design and performance for many years, and have applied their collective feedback throughout the development process."

The irons have already been used under tournament conditions and helped Sergio Garcia to capture his first victory as a professional at the Murphy's Irish Open in July.

"It was my first tournament with new Titleist clubs and they did a good job," said the 19-year-old Spaniard.
