New Balls, Please

Titleist are set to introduce the new family of balls which includes the HP Tour, HP Eclipse and HP Distance.

The HP Tour features a resilient, soft compression core for high initial velocity with a new, thin, soft, patented, engineered polymer alloy Surlyn cover and, like the other two new balls, a 416 quadrilateral dimple design.

"The HP Tour replaces its predecessor HP2 Tour as the player's two-piece performance ball and will serve as the flagship model of the HP technology offerings," said George Sine, Titleist director of marketing of golf balls worldwide.

The HP Eclipse has a new dual core construction to minimise driver spin while the HP Distance has a resilient polyblend inner cover and Lithium Surlyn cut-proof cover.
