Tour
Prestige Added to Titleist Line
Companion Ball to Tour Balata and Professional
Titleist, revered
around the world as makers of the number 1 ball in golf, has introduced
the Tour Prestige golf ball this spring.
The new liquid-filled
centre, wound construction ball is a companion model to the Tour-leading
Professional and Tour Balata golf balls. Designed to appeal to the
most skilled exponents of the game, the Titleist Tour Prestige employs
the most momentous technology from the world's Tours to create the
ultimate blend of spin, feel and sheer-durability.
Using the same
patented Elastomer cover technology as the Professional golf ball,
but with a modified formulation to yield softer feel and higher
spin, the Tour Prestige offers significant performance advantages
to numerous player segments.
The Tour Prestige
complements both the Titleist Tour Balata and Professional golf
balls offering a high performance alternative with different performance
characteristics; it offers players who currently choose ultimate
high performance high spin, soft feel balata balls, a shear-proof
option with increased distance. Conversely, performance and durability
golf ball players who try the Tour Prestige, will benefit from softer
feel and greater workability without compromising cover durability.
In machine and
player testing, the Tour Prestige offers real and measurable advantages
when compared to competitive wound, solid and multi-component construction
golf balls. Already having been played to victory on the US PGA
Tour, the new Tour Prestige ball has become the ball of choice of
numerous players, each citing particular performance attributes,
whether it is distance, feel, workability or durability.
Titleist's Senior
Product Manager, Jeremy Baldwin, comments,
"In launching
the Tour Prestige, we are extending our leadership position in the
liquid-filled centre wound construction segment. The Tour Prestige
will, for many players, offer a blend of performance attributes
that meets every item on their wishlist".
The Titleist
Tour Prestige will be available from April and is offered in both
90 and 100 compression options. The packaging livery is predominantly
black with copper accents to denote the unique patented Elastomer
cover technology the Tour Prestige shares with the Tour Professional.
