SuperSteel
Clubs in Pipeline
Taylor Made
Golf have provided a sneak preview of their forthcoming new line
of SuperSteel woods and irons.
The driver has
a clubhead size of 240cc compared to the 200cc of its Callaway Steelhead
equivalent and 185cc of the Orlimar TriMetal, but according to Taylor
Made maintains a thinner wall on the clubface.
The irons, which
will be promoted as 50 per cent stronger than other current irons,
have a 21 per cent thinner wall.
The net result
of the SuperSteel line, Taylor Made say, is expected to be a significant
lower centre of gravity to help players launch the ball.
Taylor Made
will formally introduce the woods and irons at next year's PGA Merchandise
Show in Orlando from February 4-7.
