FOOTJOY INTRODUCES THE MOST TECHNOLOGICALLY
ADVANCED SHOE IN GOLF
Footjoy announces
a breakthrough category in golf shoe advancement: DryI.C.E (Interactive
Cooling Environment) - a design of high performance waterproof shoes
for ultimate in-shoe comfort.
The DryI.C.E.
System features ComforTemp which was originally designed for the
NASA space programme. The foam material is set at 83 degrees and
made to react to ambient air temperature both insude and outside
of the shoe. The technology is able to provide either cooling in
a warm weather environment or insulation in cool temperatures. Embedded
in a soft, polyurethane foam are millions of Thermasorb microspheres,
that act like a thermostat to regulate foot temperatures by absorbing
heat and providing a comfortably cool, noticeably dry in-shoe environment
during warm conditions. When the temperature drops below 83 degrees,
the stored heat in the microspheres automatically releases and provides
insulation to keep the feet warm. Testing proves that this exclusive
combination found only in DryI.C.E. Golf shoes, significantly reduces
the in-shoe temperature of the foot by a dramatic 5-6 degrees Fahrenheit.
In addition
to the impressive climate control features, the shoe also offers
a Torque Control GraphFlex Outsole. Biomechanically position teardrop
traction elements, as well as Softspikes Black Widow Cleats, provide
incredible green friendly traction and stability in the most challenging
course conditions. Phase Change Material called IntelliGel, found
in the arch of the shoe, delivers custom comfort and support. At
a preset temperature the IntelliGel actually moulds to the shape
of the arch to create enchanced support and comfort for your feet.
