Callaway
Launch New Irons
Callaway Golf
have introduced Hawk Eye Tungsten Injected Titanium irons which
are designed to help players hit shots with optimum trajectory and
forgiveness.
Designed by
Richard C Helmstetter, the irons are cast from titanium with an
interior weight cavity that runs inside the length of the clubhead's
sole and extends upward behind the center of the clubface.
During production,
small tungsten spheres are placed low and deep in the weight cavity
which is then injected with a dense molten metal. This surrounds
each sphere and locks it in place as it cools to create a center
of gravity which promotes a high ball flight.
Other design
features include a four-way cambered sole, to help reduce digging
on shots from the fairway, a sand-blasted face and a thinner topline.
They are available
in 1-iron through 9-iron with pitching, approach, sand and lob wedges.
In addition to the irons, Callaway is introducing four new golf
bags and nine new caps to its existing lines.
