Thommo
on the Range
The 45th World
Cup of Golf was used as the launch pad for the new Thommo Titanium
Pro-Feel ball.
The tournament,
at the Mines Resort and Golf Club in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, adopted
the Pro-Feel as its official practice-range ball.
Five-times Open
champion Peter Thomson, who helped develop the ball, said: "I'm
especially delighted with the Thommo Titanium Pro-Feel. It must
be one of the best two-piece balls available.
"The putting
feel is excellent and we have not compromised on distance either."
The ball is
intended for low handicappers, comprising an extra large titanium-rubber
core, a cover material made from Pro-series Surlyn with a balata-soft
feel, and a icosadodecahedral 432-dimple pattern to generate better
spin.
