| Carlsbad, California
- Cobra Golf will unveil a new line of irons at next week's
PGA Merchandise Show in Orlando, Florida. The new King Cobra
II irons are designed with a Hump shaft and a reshaped clubhead.
The $800 steel shaft
irons ($1,000 for graphite) are targetted for mid- to
high-handicap golfers who seek clubs that are "easier
to hit."
As a new facelift, Cobra's new irons will
feature a satin finish offset by a deep gray shaft.
Unlike the old version with the oversized
clubhead, Cobra narrowed the topline and redesigned the
toe of the club. Cobra's new Hump shaft is lighter compared
to Taylor Made's Burner Bubble and Callaway's Big Bertha
irons.
