Titanium Bubble 2 from Taylor Made
has "hotter" sweet spot
Orlando, Fla.
Taylor Made engineers have taken 300 grams out of the walls of the
Burner Bubble 2 allowing for a 20 per cent increase in the size
of the clubhead.
The new Titaium Burner
Bubble 2 makes for a larger and purportedly "hotter" sweet
spot.
Taylor Made has also
altered the Bubble shaft in an effort to increase clubhead speed.
"We have moved the weight down in the Ti Bubble 2, lowering
the club's moment of inertia", said Dick Rugge, manager for
product development.
The change is accompanied
by an even lighter shaft - both factors in improving clubhead speed.
The increase in speed , in tirn, correlates to an increase in distance.
To help keep the longer
ball in the fairway Taylor Made has enhanced the K-sole of the club
by extending it further along the clubhead bottom. The larger sole
is said to provide reinforcement to diminish the efforts of the
off-centred hits.
The new club has a
recommended retail price of $589.
