DME
introduces Tour Model Rangefinder
Orlando, Fla.
The DME Tour Model Rangefinder, a hand-held electronic distance
meaauring device that doesn't require reflector targets was shown
for the first time at the PGA Merchandise Show.
Since the first Model
was introduced last year DME has continued to develop its electronic
measuring device using laser technology, to enhance the enjoyment
of golf for players of all abilities. The DME Tour Model Rangfinder
will make it possible for a golfer to get exact yardages to pins
and hazards on any golf course in the world.
Although it is not
legal to use the device during a tournament, the USGA Rules of Golf
and Handicap Committees have determined that rounds played using
electronic distance measuring equipment are deemed to have been
played in accordance with the principles of the Rules of Golf and
can be used to determine a handicap.
