GOLF TREASURES:
YOUR QUESTIONS ANSWERED

I have an Acushnet Bulls Eye putter that my Dad had. It has "Designed by John Reutter JR" stamped on the bottom and FL 5 S also on the bottom of the putter head. The grip is leather. I was told that it may be worth something?

While not overly collectible, the Acushnet Bulls Eye putter has its admirers. Your particular club stamped 'Designed by John Rueter Jr' shows that it was among the first to be produced in the late 1950's. (Apart from 'patent pending' stamped on the bottom of the blade and its weight, it probably has what looks like a clock-face also.) Used by many PGA Tour pros over the years, Rueter sold his original design to Acushnet (Titliest) in 1958 and they are still in production today. As such, there are many different models to collect but your putter remains the most collectible with a value of £100-£200 ($150-$240)
