Titleist Pro V1 on Top of the World

The Pro V1 sensation rolls on with confirmation that it's the Number 1 ball on Tour throughout the world.

If you haven't heard of the Titleist Pro V1 in the last 12 months you must, quite literally, have been on another planet! If the world's professional golf Tours are anything to go by the Pro V1 truly dominates the world of golf. The all conquering Pro V1 golf ball has enjoyed unprecedented acceptance on Tour.

This year saw an incredible 17,024 tour players use a Titleist ball, representing 56% of all Tour players world wide, more than four times its nearest rival.

Titleist is not only golf's Number1 ball when it comes to usage. As far as winning is concerned Titleist has notched up an impressive 140 victories in 2001, which again represents 56% of total wins and more than three times as many as the next brand.

Notable Pro V1 winners include world number two Phil Mickelson, US Open Champion Retief Goosen, US Womens Open and LPGA Champion Karrie Webb and three time winner Sergio Garcia.

The Pro V1's domination runs deeper than the main US and European Tours as the table below clearly indicates:

So what is the secret to the Pro V1 being heralded as the most successful golf ball introduction in the modern game?

The Pro V1 has taken golf ball performance to a new level by utilising large core, multi-component construction, and high performance Urethane ElastomerÔ cover technology. The result off the tee is high velocity, low spin and high launch delivering exceptionally long driver and long iron distance.

Around the green, a steep angle of descent and higher wedge spin produce unique Drop-and-Stop performance. Thanks to the Pro V1, Titleist has reinforced its position as the all time Number1 ball in golf with more players, more titles and more money than all other balls combined.
