PING Opens A New European Wrx Division Offering Its Customers
The Ultimate In Custom Fitting Choice
PING
Europe has just opened a new Wrx Division at its headquarters
in Gainsborough, Lincs. The new Wrx department offers its
customers the ultimate in custom fitting choice and at the
same time gives PING a valuable source of feedback when it
comes to developing PING clubs for the future.
The
PING Wrx Select Programme allows PING consumers the chance
to "create clubs as unique as the players who use them",
by making available a huge selection of approved shaft, grip
and grind options.
Commenting
on the programme, PING’s Chairman and CEO John A. Solheim
said: "Our 350 and JZ series shafts were engineered to
work specifically with PING heads and grips to produce optimum
results, and these are the shafts we recommend in our clubs.
However, many people have requested other shafts and grips
for their PING equipment and this is now possible through
the PING Wrx Select Programme".
"We
are pleased to announce that, as of now, our PING Europe facility
has been equipped to manufacture PING golf clubs with shafts
and grips from the PING Wrx Select Programme. This means that
our customers who want special shafts, grips etc on their
clubs will be able to obtain their order without the clubs
having to be assembled and despatched from the United States."
