Ping
Introduces New Putter
The Ping Isopur2 series of putters, featuring tungsten weights
in the heel and toe, will be launched at the PGA Merchandise
Show in Orlando later this month.
"Adding tungsten weights to the heel and toe of our most successful
stainless steel putters is a design innovation that will enhance
the performance benefits of perimeter weighting," said John
Solheim, Ping's chairman and CEO.
"We've also been able to lower the centre of gravity in the
Isopur2 series,
making the ball roll better off the putter face. Our Isopur2
putters are more
forgiving and will offer golfers improved putting performance
as well as
enhanced optics.
"The new Isopur2 putters are slightly heavier than the Isopur
models they
replace. Tungsten is more than twice the density of steel.
Many golfers
prefer heavier putters because they encourage a smoother stroke."
The
nine Isopur2 models will be available for delivery in early
spring. Suggested
retail price for eight of them is £110 while the long-shafted
Isopur2 B90 putter will cost £125.
