New Accessory
to improve your shot
A UNIQUE golfing accessory,
which could give players more control over their game, has been developed by a
company in the North West.
The Optimiser Golf Ball
Cleaner, is an effective cleaning device and only golf ball cleaner that incorporates
bristles and sponge technology to ensure maximum dirt removal and, therefore,
maximum shot-saving capabilities.
 |
The bristles’ tufts have
been carefully designed to scour into the dimples on the ball, removing any dirt
which may affect the accuracy of its flight path. The performance can be likened
to the cleaning action of a toothbrush. It also has a hidden channel that retains
water to assist in cleaning the balls throughout the game on the course. It is
a stylish and compact |
| accessory which
can be clipped onto a bag or belt. |
Described by the BBC as
‘a groundbreaking golf aid’ the prototype has already attracted interest from
professional golfers. A prototype was taken to the Professional Golfers’ Association
PGA exhibition in Florida, where it excited considerable interest.
The business behind the
development of the Optimiser is the Accrington Brush Company, which has been manufacturing
cleaning aids for over 137 years. David Farnworth, the company’s sales & marketing
director, believes the Optimiser golf ball cleaner will achieve strong world-wide
sales, "Research shows that striking a dimpled ridge on a golf ball can
send it five degrees off course. If a dimple can do that to a putt, how much effect
does mud have on the direction of the ball?"
Burnley Golf Club Pro, Bill
Tye, who has lent his expertise in developing and testing the product, said: "The
Optimiser is an easy-to-use and well made golf aid."
The business also manufacture
a golf club cleaning brush, which has been established in the European market
for over a decade.
The Optimiser golf ball
cleaner and golf club cleaner are ideal for corporate gifts and can be obtained
individually or in tandem. Both products have enormous potential for printing
corporate logos onto.
