THE ELEMENTS WITH FOOTJOY
New
Outerwear Collection Unveiled for Autumn 2001
The name
FootJoy has long been synonymous with leadership in the golf shoe and golf glove
markets.
3 years
ago, FootJoy entered the outerwear market, applying a wealth of experience in
fit, comfort and waterproofing to the new sector. The result is a booming business
in the lucrative premium end of the market with a performance-packed range of
garments to guard against the elements.
A new collection
has been unveiled to reach UK shops in September in time for the autumn and winter
season. Included in the new range are a number of new colourways.
Regarded
as the flagship of the range is the DryJoys Performance Rain Jacket. Accompanying
the popular black and taupe houndstooth jacket, a regular appearance on Tour when
rain falls, is an all new black with charcoal houndstooth trim. The jackets retail
for £125.00 and are available in Small through to XXL.
The DryJoys
Performance Rain Jackets include a number of innovative features designed to keep
golfers dry, comfortable and unrestricted.
-
100% waterproof Sta-Dry
system – lightweight, breathable, quiet and comfortable
-
"It’s a Cinch System"
internal draw-strings remove fullness for unrestricted swing freedom
-
Patented Articulated Sleeves
– avoids swing restriction even at full extension
-
Zip front with snap placket
and separate waterproof scorecard pocket
As an extremely
popular and versatile alternative is the DryJoys Performance Rain Shirt without
the full zipper but with all the performance and comfort of the Rain Jacket built
right in.
The Rain
Shirt is now offered in 4 new colourways for the 2001 Winter season: Sandstone
with black trim, Black with sandstone trim, Burgundy houndstooth and Charcoal
houndstooth. The Rain Shirts retail for £100 and are offered in sizes Small to
XXL, and Extra Small in the Sandstone/black and Burgundy colourways to suit ladies’
sizing.
The accompanying
black trousers feature the same performance Sta-Dry system and are now offered
from XS to XXL and finished leg lengths from 27" up to 33".

The trousers
also retail for £100.
To combat
cold and wind, the FootJoy outerwear collection includes two other garments: the
FootJoy Dual Climate Performance Pullover and the FootJoy Performance Wind Shirt.
The FootJoy
Dual Climate Performance Pullover is a reversible top that offers different properties
depending on whether the fleece is inside or outside. Fleece innermost yields
maximum warmth and a measure of water-resistance against occasional showers, while
fleece on the outside gives wind-resistance in more moderate temperatures.
There are
two colourways: the black with charcoal combination or the sandstone with olive
combination. Both are offered in sizes Small to XXL, and retail for £80.
Completing
the FootJoy outerwear collection, is the lightweight FootJoy Performance Wind
Shirt. Designed primarily to combat wind without sacrificing swing freedom, the
Wind Shirt is soft and lightweight. For compact storage, the Wind Shirt can be
stored by folding itself into a convenient sewn-in bag in one of its zippered
pockets.
Available
in black or sandstone, and sized from Small to XL (XXL in Black), the FootJoy
Performance Wind Shirt retails for £40.
