Greater
Choice For Fans
Of The Titleist Pro Trajectory 975F Fairway Metals
Titleist has reacted
to the successful introduction of its new 975F Fairway Metals
by introducing three higher loft options for the 2001 season.
It means that there
are now five loft options available in the 975F Fairway Metals
range starting with the 13.5° and 14.5° options that were
available last year but expanding to include clubs with lofts
of 16.5°, 18.5° and 20.5° as well.
The Titleist 975F Fairway
Metals are designed as player’s clubs and are used by a large
number of leading Tour Professionals.
The popular Titleist
975F Fairway Metals range has a traditional pear-shaped profile
and a classic shape but also has a number of other characteristics
that ensures a much better performance than is available using
traditional clubs.
·
The lower weight distribution improves launch and flight.
·
Total weight is reduced to allow greater clubhead speed.
·
Reduced roll allows for better launch angle
·
The face is reinforced to give it greater stability and strength but is
also thinner for better sound and a more lively feel.
·
The overall weighting and forward centre of gravity produce less spin.
·
No foam in the head provides a solid and aggressive sound and feel.
·
The sole is crowned in the centre and the trailing edge has been altered
to reduce drag.
·
The bevelled leading edge allows increased playability from different lies.
·
The sole scallops increase head stiffness.
The Titleist 975F Fairway metals will be available with
four shaft options: Dynamic Gold, EI-70, Prolite and Ultralite.
All loft options are available in men’s right handed clubs,
with men’s left handed clubs available in 13.5°, 14.5°, 16.5°,
18.5° and 20.5° loft options. Ladies’ right handed clubs are
available with 16.5° and 20.5°.
The recommended retail price for steel-shafted 975F Fairway
metals is £140 and £200 for graphite. The clubs will be available
in Pro shops from late 2000.
