New
Ball Launch From Titleist
Titleist
are launching a brand new Titleist Tour Distance SF golf ball
that combines the distance of the current Tour Distance ball
with greater spin and feel.
The
new Titleist Tour Distance SF ball has been designed for all
those golfers who are seeking more distance but do not want
to sacrifice spin and soft feel as a result.
 |
The
ball sits alongside the Titleist Professional, the Titleist
Tour Prestige, the Titleist Tour Balata and the Titleist
PTS Wound as one of five wound balls in the Titleist range.
It has a new thermoplastic liquid-filled centre that results
in a lower spin rate and a flatter flight |
| which
both contribute to its extremely long distance capabilities
and its lower compression and softer cover makes it much
more responsive than other distance balls. |
Titleist
set out with a number of objectives in mind when it developed
the new Tour Distance SF golf ball. Versus the existing Tour
Distance ball:
·
Distance is equal
·
Initial spin rate is slightly lower
·
Thermoplastic liquid-filled centre produces
a flatter ball flight.
·
Lower compression and softer cover give improved
feel.
·
Softer cover also gives improved wedge and half
wedge spin for better greenside control and performance.
The
new Titleist Tour Distance SF ball is to be launched at this
autumn’s Munich Golf Show and will be available from January
2001. It will be available in sleeves of three or in dozen
boxes at a recommended retail price £7.95 per sleeve.
