TWO
MORE WINS FOR THE 300 SERIES
Taylor
Made tops US PGA driver count
Taylor
Made Golf staff player Larry Nelson and the new 300 Series™
metalwoods are proving to be a match made in golfing heaven.
Nelson’s
victory at the Senior PGA’s FleetBoston Classic was his third
this year using the new family of Taylor Made drivers. Nelson
has now used two of Taylor Made’s three new drivers to post
wins (he used the 320 Ti for his two earlier titles this year).
Meanwhile,
the 300 Ti was put in play by the winner of the Buy.com Tour’s
Permian Basin Open.
In total,
the 300 Series has contributed to nine wins on the four major
men’s tours so far this year – two on the PGA (John Deere
Classic, International), two on the European PGA (Irish Open,
Loch Lomond), three on the Senior PGA (Las Vegas Senior Classic,
Boone Valley Classic, FleetBoston Classic) and two on the
Buy.com Tour (Dayton Open, Permian Basin Open).
And the
clubs continue to surge in popularity as the fastest-growing
clubs on the PGA Tour. At the Reno-Tahoe Open this weekend,
53 players used the 300 Series, breaking the club’s record
for popularity on the tour. In all, Taylor Made put 55 drivers
in play, 13 more than its nearest competitor. Of those players,
10 using the 300 Series finished in the top 30.
