Nike Deny Club Launch is Imminent

Nike Golf have denied that they will launch a range of clubs during the early part of next year even though several Tour players will be trying out the
company's prototype irons.

"We are still testing a number of options out on Tour in all club categories," said Mike Kelly, Nike Golf's marketing manager.

Some within the industry are expecting a sneak peak of Nike equipment,
specifically putters and wedges, at next month's PGA Merchandise Show in
Orlando.

However, Kelly added: "It is not likely that there will be clubs in our booth
at the PGA show. We are working with Tour players over the next few months
and will likely have prototypes out on various Tours and during the 'silly
season', but it will not allow for commercialisation in time for this spring."
