Clarke
Enters New Dimension
Ryder
Cup player Darren Clarke has ended his six-year relationship with
golf equipment makers MacGregor and signed up with a new corporate
sponsor.
The
31-year-old Ulsterman has agreed a three-year deal with South African-based
company Dimension Data Holdings to carry their name on his golf
bag and headwear.
He
also made his tournament debut for 2000 at the Dimension Data Pro-Am
on the Southern Africa Vodacom Tour late last month - an event won
by his International Sports Management stablemate and Ryder Cup
partner Lee Westwood.
ISM
manager Andrew Chandler said: "This arrangement allows Darren
the freedom to play the clubs of his choice, although after six
years with the same manufacturer, he may carry on with his current
equipment for the time being.
"Nevertheless,
as with most pros, Darren will test a range of equipment to find
out what is best for him."
Dimension
Data Holdings is an information technology integration corporation
which hopes to promote its business through Clarke's worldwide touring
schedule. For further information about the company, visit their
