Improve
your game with CertainTee
A new golf
swing analysis system that uses the latest advanced technology
to track the human body is being launched at this year’s Golf
Expo.
Aimed
at any level of golfer wishing to improve by taking lessons
- ‘CertainTee’ - shows golfers visually in 3D where they have
been going wrong with their game and helps ensure they only
reinforce good swing habits when they practise.
Top
golf coach, Keith Williams says, "Having followed the
development of this product from its early stages, I am very
excited at the prospect of what CertainTee are bringing to
the coaching world. I feel that golfers of all levels can
gain tremendous benefits from high tech lessons with pros
who use this type of advanced technology". Keith Williams
is an ex-European Tour player and is National Golf Coach for
England.
High
speed stereo cameras record the full motion of every golf
swing during a lesson. Powerful visual representations of
the golf swing including 3D 'stereo video' and virtual reality,
ensure that golfers learn from every swing they take.
Consistent
with the PGA’s objective to encourage the introduction of
sports science into modern golf teaching, the
system allows the golf pro to pinpoint scientifically what
improvements need to take place. The pro then delivers his
or her lesson with much richer visual feedback. The system
can be used on a driving range without the pro in attendance
to provide constant feedback, using earlier pre-recorded lessons.
Virtual
reality glasses (see picture) allow golfers to see themselves
during their swing, building a much improved mental picture
of their action - linking positions and the feel of the swing.
When the
lesson is over, players are given a video, CD-Rom or DVD which
can be viewed at home, or the lesson can even be downloaded
from the Internet.
Managing
Director Andrew Nicholson said: “I hope that golf players
and pros will come and try the system for themselves on stand
no. 1525 and let me know what they think. How quickly we
go into full production will depend on the reception we receive
at Golf Expo.”
