Callaway
Driver Fails USGA Test
Callaway
Golf's latest product, the ERC driver, has reportedly failed
the United States Golf Association's 'coefficient of restitution'
test for spring-like effect.
Callaway
spokesman Larry Dorman dismissed the USGA's findings as
of "no concern to us" as the company does not plan to retail
the new club in the United States.
Dorman
added: "The USGA kept asking for it, they called on numerous
occasions as a result of the publicity it received and they
told us they were going to test it anyway."
The
ERC is already on sale in Japan and is expected to be available
in Europe shortly.
